Post Christmas blues....Time flies. As usual, it never walks does it? Time just whizzes by.
So much for my resolution to try to keep my blog updated on a periodic basis. Just staring at the 4 pathetic entries makes me wonder how much strong will I have. Minimum...Or probably even none.
Well, post xmas blues always make me feel melancholic. Then again, xmas has never been much of a significance to me, except maybe for the extra holidays and wonderful post xmas sales to look forward to. Maybe if I had spent xmas in Cambridge, the atmosphere would have been different. Well this year's xmas is spent in London. Not alone. But with all the campers in my house. Family from Singapore and Scotland all congregated in my little one bed room flat. In a way, we are used to the small living space cos despite the semi house in sg, it felt like we really only lived in the master bedroom. 2 cupboards of snacks, the mini kitchen in the washroom. A fridge in the living hall. food drinks, the entire entertainment system. What more does one need to make that a studio apartment? Anyway, they have all congregated in my apartment for the past few weeks. Good to have someone else cook other than me. Plus all the pampering. But sometimes i wonder if i have become a very selfish picky person. Having lived alone for the last 5 years, it sometimes irritates me to have my living space invaded. My furry housemates all have to move to the top of shelves or boxes to make room for the luggage. The display items all have to be shoved to some inconspicuious corner so that we can have more floor space for the "bed". Instead of having one pair of shoes, i am welcomed home with 5 different pairs of shoes at the front door. Nope, I'm not lamenting. Maybe at times when I remember my "neater" house. I guess we are just more tolerent with our own mess.

Anyway, the xmas period came and went. Came home from work earlier on friday cos no one was really in the mood to work. And then we had to ensure that we had enough food to camp out over xmas day. Well, i guess that was just us being overly worried that's all. If there's a event when the we have a famine disaster, the first place everyone will go to will be my house. With the amount of food i have in store, i could feed a small army for a week.
Had some chinese food during xmas. camped out and became a couch potato. Relived all those Cantonese shows days. The christmas day just slipped by.
The rest of the 4 day break was just geared at attacking the stalls for the xmas sales. Well, this year xmas sales was quite disappointing. Maybe everyone was taken by surprise by the season. And the sales was just a mere courtesy jesture for "completeness".
Ah well...back to work. so the sian....just one more day, and then the long weekend is here.
Two of the hoel guests checked out today. And on friday the rest will check out. I can then enjoy my hotel for another week before heading to the sub zero degree NY for offsite.
Ok, time to shake off the blues and head hot strong towards the sluggish whitish winter in London and the brutal cold in NY.
